Cheap Car Insurance For Young Drivers Will Give You Piece Of Mind...maybe

Well, if you listen to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and there is no reason you shouldn't, 16 year olds get into accidents and fender benders close to six times more often than drivers between the age of 30 and 59. Yes, there is a reason you are here looking for cheap car insurance for your teen.

What can I do to keep the price low?
You can start by making sure your teen understands that it is a privilege to drive and no some joke. The laws are there for a reason. If you can get your teen to respect the traffic laws by not breaking them, your insurance won't break your bank account.

I heard putting my kids on my policy is better than getting them their own policy?

Absolutely. If they are an additional driver on your policy, you will get all the discounts you already get if you have your insurance tied in with other insurances.(homeowners, renters, etc.)

What else can I do to get those premiums down?

  • Um, please don't buy your 16 year old a brand new Corvette. You are asking for trouble. I'm just saying.
  • A strict and I'm strict no cell phone talking or texting policy in the car while it's moving. Period. If this means you have to stop doing it while you drive with your kids, which you probably should anyway, then do it. It will be safer for everybody.
  • The drinking and driving talk is a no brainer, but throw in the drugs as well. I know it can be tough, but allowing these could make expensive car insurance the least of your problems.

Talk to your kids. They are smart and they know more about this stuff than you might think. Treat them with respect and expect responsibility from them and I think you will be happy....And able to get cheap car insurance for your teenager.

Car insurance is a must! Don not be one of these bums that doesn't get it and then goes and gets into an accident. That is selfish and should make you go to jail. [beep] s

That is exactly what I am going to do. You can not get him his own. It would cost you a fortune. Just get a family plan and you will be fine. Most companies have this all set and ready to go for you quixkly
