I don't know about you, but we had a station wagon when we were kids. It was the only vehicle you could get in those days that had 3 rows of seats. Unless you had one of those big custom vans, this what you were driving around in if you had more than 3 kids. Anyway, there were 3 rows and the back row was called the 'way back' in our family. Everybody wanted to sit back there.

For whatever reason the station wagon went away for a while and was soon replaced by the very popular minivan and the gas hogging SUV. Both are good vehicles and in many ways are better than the old station wagon. The Minivan is genius. The amount of room in those things is incredible. The SUV on the other hand is usually not quite as convenient, but it looks a little bit cooler on a whole. The good part is, they both can handle 7 passengers comfortably.

Here is a look at a these two options:

SUV

The larger SUV became really popular in the mid 1990's. Gas was cheap, the economy was good and everybody wanted and SUV, plain and simple. Well, things have changed over the last few years because of sky high gas prices and the fact that the economy went into the tank.  That being said, many people still have the need for them. Most of them can get in around 20 MPG city/highway combined, which is not terribly awful.

Toyota Highlander

The most diverse in this class, the Highland comes in both a 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder versions. In addition to that, and at an addition $7000, it comes in a hybrid version as well. Not the best deal, but a hybrid none the less.

Chevy Traverse

This 7 passenger vehicle, not quite as big as the Honda Pilot but bigger than the Highlander, gets really high marks right now. It has a V-6 tat is powerful and very fuel efficient.

Honda Pilot

The Pilot cam out in 2003 as a replacement to the Passport. It has been always rated high from the start. The newest version came out in 2009 and did not disappoint anybody. It comes in a 2WD or 4WD version and has a Variable Cylinder Management system for better gas mileage.

Minivan

What was the first Minivan on the market? The Dodge Caravan takes credit for this and hit the streets back in the 1980's. They were hugely popular form the beginning and have not slowed down a bit. They have always had the  "Soccer Mom" stigma, but many people of all ages drive these very useful and practical vehicles.

Toyota Sienna

Toyota's 7 passenger vehicle is the only Minivan right now to offer a AWD option. It was recently redesigned for 2011.

Honda Odyssey

Always ranked in the Top 3 since in came out in the mid 90's. With its full captain's chairs in the 2nd row, outstanding comfort, and fuel efficiency are great benefits of the Odyssey. Look for a redesign of this great vehicle in the Fall of 2011.

Chrysler Town and Country

Always rated in the Top 3 of Minivans, the Town and Country combines style with convenience. It signature feature is that all the seats, including the 2nd row, fold flat into the floor without you having to pull them out of the car. Cool feature if you need the extra space and think you will need to pull out he seats of

That is a look at a few of the best 7 seat vehicles. Which ever way you go, they are all pretty good choices. That is the beauty of the car companies these days. Most of the cars are good, it now comes down to a matter of what you like best. It is as simple as that.

The higher compression ratio causes engineers to design, and test the block, heads, head bolts, crackshaft, connecting rods, rod bolts, pistons, and piston pins with a greater range of structural capacity.

Keep in mind, the diesel is a heat engine, using heat developed from the compression of air. High compression ratios are possible since the air is compressed. I love diesels

Serious damage to gas engines can occur if you attempt to run a high compression ratio with a low octane type of fuel. Detonation is the ignition of the fuel due to the high temperature caused by a high compression ratio that is developed by design.

Why do people want diesel? With diesel engines, the compression ratio is higher and there is more power, but you also achieve it using less fuel. This what we all want, my ,man

Do any off these 7 seaters have a diesel engine? I have been looking for one for a while now and nobody seems to make them. I heard Acura was going to have one but its a car.
